Mercers Electrical Distributors Ltd was set up in October 2002 by Ian and he now runs the business with his wife Kirsty who gained 15 years experience with an electrical wholesaling business in Scotland.

The owners have almost 40 years experience in electrical wholesaling, but it doesn't end there; between them the staff has well over 100 years combined knowledge in electrical wholesaling.

Says Ian: "Offering contractors competitively priced products is important, and to ensure we can keep our prices keen we are part of the MIDA International buying group, which has 56 members throughout the UK. However, from the buyers' point of view being able to deal directly with the owner has other advantages, especially when it comes to matters such as credit control."
